Rum and Revolution

Saturday, June 6, July 4 & August 1 @ 11:30am
Hear stories of taverns, distillers, rum runners and more.  This interactive tour explores the changing role of alcohol and its importance throughout Newport's 300 year history.

Old House ABCs Tour

Saturday, June 13, July 11, August 8 & August 29 @ 11:30am

Learn the ABCs of architecture in this exquisitely preserved city.  Begin inside the 1699 Friends Meeting House and end amid the Victorian splendor of lower Bellevue Avenue.

Newport's Buried History: Slavery and Freedom

Saturday, June 20, July 18 & August 15 @ 11:30am
Listen to stories about Newport's people of color, enslaved and free.  Visit the Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House and the colonial African burying ground.

Tastes of the Working Waterfront

Saturday, June 27, July 25, August 22 & September 5 @ 11:30am
Taste, touch and smell your way through history while learning about the sailors, merchants and immigrants who lived and worked along Lower Thames Street.

Tour departs from NRF Museum Store, 415 Thames Street. Tickets also sold here for this tour.

Cost: $12/adult, $5/child (12 or younger)

Departure Point: Brick Market Museum, 127 Thames Street
Tastes of the Working Waterfront tour departs from the NRF Store at 415 Thames St.

Duration: Approximately 75 minutes

Accessibility: Limited in some areas; call for information.

All tours are weather permitting.  Space is limited.

 

Historic Site Tours

Offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am - 2:30 pm, June - August

Admission: $5/adult, $3/child (12 or younger)  Tour all three sites for $12
